Ferrimagnetic to paramagnetic transition and dielectric relaxation in Ni1-xZnxFe2O4 ferrites

The spinel ferrite system Ni1-xZnxFe2O4 (x=0-0.7, Δx=0.1) was prepared by wet chemical co-precipitation method using sulfates of respective metal ions. electrical resistivity and dielectric properties the samples have been studied as a function temperature, frequency, Zn content (x). DC (ϱ) measured in temperature range 300 to 800 K. curves so plotted show two phases viz. ferrimagnetic paramagnetic, wherein transformation from former later phase took place at Curie TC. values TC were found decrease with increase x. activation energy (ΔE<0.2 eV) depicted possibility hopping mechanism governing conduction within ferrites. exhibited semiconducting behavior, where (ρ) decreased increasing temperature. constant (ε’) loss (ε”) composition, frequency.
